Grammar in Context
The natural dialogue uses the present tense for near-future plans: Hoy corrijo los gráficos, mañana revisamos el texto y el viernes enviamos la versión final. Spanish often uses the simple present with time words like hoy, mañana, and el viernes when the plan is already scheduled or agreed.
You can use this pattern in meetings to sound direct and practical: Esta tarde mando el resumen, mañana llamamos al cliente, or el lunes revisamos los cambios. The time expression makes the future meaning clear.
The dialogue also uses ir a + infinitive in the simpler line Voy a enviar un resumen esta tarde. Both forms are useful: voy a enviar is beginner-friendly, while lo envío esta tarde sounds concise and natural in a work update.
