Portuguese Work Meeting Dialogue and Practice
Situation Overview
You are joining a weekly team meeting in a Portuguese-speaking workplace. You need to greet colleagues, give a concise project update, explain a delay, offer or ask for help, agree on next steps, and confirm a deadline. The dialogue uses everyday Brazilian Portuguese with a professional but friendly tone. In Portugal, the same structure works, but you may hear reunião de equipa, ficheiro for file, and more frequent use of tu among close colleagues or o senhor/a senhora in formal settings.

Grammar in Context
The natural dialogue uses the present tense for scheduled near-future plans: Hoje eu corrijo os gráficos, amanhã a gente revisa o texto e na sexta enviamos a versão final. Portuguese often uses the present tense with time expressions like hoje, amanhã, and na sexta when the plan is already agreed.
You can use this pattern in meetings to sound concise and practical: hoje eu mando o resumo, amanhã a gente liga para o cliente, or na segunda revisamos as mudanças. The time expression makes the future meaning clear.
The dialogue also uses dar para + infinitive in dá para entregar na sexta. This common Brazilian Portuguese structure means that something is possible or feasible. In a meeting, it helps you talk about capacity: dá para revisar hoje, não dá para terminar até amanhã, and dá para ajustar o prazo.
